Lorri Lagerbloom (b.1981) is a mixed media artist living in Big Sky, Montana. Describing herself as a sculptor who builds paintings, her reliefs are created using varied techniques and materials. She gained a formal art education from the State University of New York at New Paltz, in both printmaking and sculpture. She has continued to experiment in depth with paper media, encaustic beeswax, and textiles. Simplicity and the purity of the unrefined are essential to her work. Having a life long adoration for the natural world, her work is a homage to the wild and free. She is currently represented by Gallatin River Gallery in Big Sky, Montana.
